Frequently Asked Questions

Which universities are we in partnership with?

Summonpress holds agreements with the majority of universities and education centres in both Valencia and Madrid. However, if we do not have a partnership with your university and you would like to do work experience with us, get in contact and we can try to arrange something.

What do you offer interns?

Everyone that joins our team as an intern, or student, receives continual training almost every week. With us, you will learn the fundamentals about editing content for the internet, SEO, web analytics, managing communities and more.

You will be taught by our team that consists of professionals who work with these techniques on a daily basis.

How long is the internship?

At Summonpress we are flexible with the duration of your work experience. As a general rule, we accept students to work for us for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months.

We have tested it out that you will need at least 3 months in order to learn the basics of what we want to teach you.

If for any reason your university requires you to work for shorter periods, get in contact with us to discuss the alternative options we can offer you.

How many hours will I have to work every week?

We understand that as a student it will be normal for you to be balancing your time between us, your classes and perhaps other jobs, so for these reasons we are very flexible with regards to working hours. When it comes to signing the contract, we will ask you about your availability and organize a timetable that works for both parties.

Our offices are open from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 – 19:00, but bear in mind that you will have a supervisor who will be responsible for your training so it’s best that both your timetables coincide as the majority of your time will be spent with him/her.

Will I have free days and holidays?

Summonpress has a company policy that all our interning students have the right to days off. For every month that you work for us, we offer you 2 free days that you can enjoy individually or accumulate to use later. Don’t worry if you have doubts, our Human Resources department will explain everything during the welcome presentation.

How many hours a week will I work?

Unless your contract states otherwise, the norm will be to work between 20 and 30 hours a week up until you have completed your training period with us. When we sign the agreement with your education centre we are able to discuss your weekly working hours.

What am I going to do if I chose to undertake an internship at Summonpress?

At Summonpress we work from experience and there is no better way to learn than ¨playing¨ with the different tools the internet puts at our disposal.

From the first week you will be writing and publishing content on the internet, learning the fundamental skills of online editing. You will learn about online communities, decide what topics ought to be written on and also analyze the positioning of what you publish with the impact this has on the viewing results.

Who will be responsible for my training?

When you arrive at Summonpress you will be assigned to a member of our team who will be responsible for your training during your time with us. This person will be your reference during your working period here and there will always be someone in the department to help you out.

You will have weekly meetings with him/her to organize your work for the week, follow-up on previous discussions and to resolve any doubts you might have.
